Freedom 251 which everyone thought that it might fake is back again yes! Finally it is back.

Freedom 251 was first going to be delivered from June 28, then it was pushed to June 30, and now it’s going to be delivered from July 6.

According to Ringing Bells’ Founder and CEO Mohit Goel — sitting comfortably in his Sector 62 office here, the company has been able to keep its promise to consumers. The company claimed that it has 2 lakh Freedom 251 units ready to ship. Users can get their hands on the ultra-budget smartphone via a lucky draw process. The company’s general manager, Anmol Goel told The Times Of India that they will be allotting nearly 10,000 units for each state.

  • The phone is sleek with a unique build.
  • The Freedom 251 now has a textured plastic back panel, comes in White and Black colour variants, has a different placement of rear camera, and features three navigation keys similar to what we see on a typical Android handset.
  • The micro-USB charging port and headphone jack stays on top, while the power button and the volume buttons sit on right and left side respectively.
  • Above the display you have a speaker and a front-facing camera. The loudspeaker too has shifted from the bottom to the lower rear panel.
  • The Freedom 251 features a 4-inch qHD display with 960×540 pixel resolution, which gives a pretty impressive pixel density.

  • The Freedom 251 is powered by an unspecified 1.3GHz quad-core processor, clubbed with 1GB RAM, which is appreciable given that there are handsets costing more than Rs 251 and feature a lower 512MB RAM. Ringing Bells CEO says that the smartphone includes pre-installed applications but did not specify which ones.
  • The smartphone houses 8GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card of up to 32GB.
  • As for connectivity, it would support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, as well as 3G connectivity on both the SIM cards.
  • The 3.2MP rear camera has a decent user interface.
  • it’s a 4-inch display, the camera menu appears cluttered.
  • The resulting images under artificial light were just about average and would work for most of the users.
  • There’s a 0.3MP front-facing camera as well. Backed by a 1450mAh battery

the Freedom 251 is expected to run for a day since it has no heavy- duty applications to run or push out more number of display pixels. Officials say that the company has over 500 service centres already up across the country. The smartphone will also come with one-year warranty period without any replacement service.
